Franco B. Castro
Managing Partner & Founder
Mr. Castro is a finance and investment executive with more than 30 years of experience in cross-border capital markets, investment banking, development finance, M&A, restructuring, and structured transactions across Latin America and the Caribbean. As Managing Partner of Activa Capital Group, he advises institutional borrowers on financing strategy, lender readiness, capital structure, and engagement with development finance institutions and institutional capital providers.
Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Credit Suisse First Boston, Standard Bank, and Violy, Byorum & Partners. His experience includes originating more than $5 billion in fixed-income securities, building and managing financial-services platforms, and advising on distressed and insolvency-related situations.
Mr. Castro holds a JD from the Catholic University of Peru and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
